Pumpkin Spice Syrup

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup Water

1/2 cup Sugar

4 tsp Pure Pumpkin Puree (see notes)

2 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice


Instructions

  1. Heat a saucepan over low heat
  2. Add Water and Sugar, and stir to combine
  3. Simmer until it turns into a clear syrup
  4. Add Pumpkin Puree and Pumpkin Pie Spice, stir until well mixed
  5. Simmer on low heat until reduced to a thin syrup, about 20 minutes
  6. Remove from heat and immediately pass through a fine mesh strainer or cheese cloth
  7. Store in an pre-boiled airtight glass container, such as a bottle or mason jar
  8. Keep in the fridge for about a week, shake well before using

Notes

Please note that in the recipe video we’ve prepared a larger recipe – hit the “3x” button above to get the same yield as the video, which is enough for about 8 lattes.

We’ve used pure pumpkin puree for this recipe. We don’t recommend using ready-made “pumpkin pie filling” because each brand will have their own spice combination, and it’s also more watery than pure pumpkin.
