Ingredients

Scale

1 cup milk, warmed (see note)

3 tbsp Pumpkin Spice Syrup (see recipe below)

40 ml (1 shot) Espresso (see note)

To Serve/Decorate:

Whipped Cream

Pumpkin Pie Spice blend


Instructions

  1. Warm the milk in the microwave or stovetop, but do not bring to a boil.
  2. Froth milk until doubled in volume
  3. In a heat-proof mug, pour syrup and espresso, and stir until combined
  4. Pour in warm Milk, then delicately spoon Milk foam on top
  5. Serve with Whipped Cream and/or a sprinkle of Pumpkin Pie Spice blend

Notes

You can use plant-based milk, if preferred, to make this recipe Vegan.

For the Espresso, you can use 1 standard espresso-sized capsule of your preferred beverage maker, or brew a very strong coffee.

Please note that the nutrition table considers the use of whole milk in the preparation.

Pumpkin Spice Syrup

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup Water

1/2 cup Sugar

4 tsp Pure Pumpkin Puree (see notes)

2 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice


Instructions

  1. Heat a saucepan over low heat
  2. Add Water and Sugar, and stir to combine
  3. Simmer until it turns into a clear syrup
  4. Add Pumpkin Puree and Pumpkin Pie Spice, stir until well mixed
  5. Simmer on low heat until reduced to a thin syrup, about 20 minutes
  6. Remove from heat and immediately pass through a fine mesh strainer or cheese cloth
  7. Store in an pre-boiled airtight glass container, such as a bottle or mason jar
  8. Keep in the fridge for about a week, shake well before using

Please note that in the recipe video we’ve prepared a larger recipe – hit the “3x” button above to get the same yield as the video, which is enough for about 8 lattes.

We’ve used pure pumpkin puree for this recipe. We don’t recommend using ready-made “pumpkin pie filling” because each brand will have their own spice combination, and it’s also more watery than pure pumpkin.
